Missing You ~ is an original poem composed by one of our teen support group participants and friends.
Our connection severed by a life’s end.
Mind, body, soul divided from itself.
Reasoning with fate, but it would not bend.
And so on defeated by my own health,
Hollowing stomach, yet full of anger,
Guilt consumed me, and left me in deep dread.
Innocence stolen with lasting danger,
Hanging on by just one singular thread.
Struggling to find any reason to stay,
Forever missing my brother, Matthew.
Until sure signs of him come out to play,
In the moon at night or the morning dew.
And then suddenly my heart was lighter,
Feeling heavenly sun made me brighter.
